It will feature some exciting invited speakers, interactive sessions and performances.
You will be treated to interactive participation in current global learning projects between local schools, colleges and universities and institutions scattered around the globe. This year global learning sessions will cover topics as diverse as Post-conflict Nation-building, Music Performance, Gifted Education, Spanish Language, Social Studies and Enterprise Engineering. You will receive an update on global learning by Maize High School senior students, who in the past year have been interacting directly with people in Rwanda, South Africa, the Middle East, countries affected by the Tsunami and people affected by Hurricane Katrina. A progress report on a project underway in Douglass school district will also be presented. We will also see global learning activities at Southwestern College.
