Drs Mara Alagic, Kay Gibson, Sherry Goodvin, Glyn Rimmington and Marjorie Landwehr-Brown had a very productive 2-hour discussion with colleagues a the Intercultural Communication Center in Khabarovsk in Far East Russia. We use Marratech to connected across the Internet. The issues covered were the meaning of "education" in Russia and America, Gifted Education and Mathematics Education. Discussants in Khabarovsk included Dr Alla Kuznetsova, Rector (President) of the Khabarovsk Regional Graduate Institute of Education, Dr Anna Korokova (Vice Rector), Dr Svetlana Pechnyuk (Vice Rector), Dr Valentina Davydenko, Chair of the Department of Education at the Khabarovsk State University for the Humanities, Dr Olga Kovbasyuk, Director of the ICC, Drs Lydia Kulikova, Natalia Moskvina, Nadezhda Yudina also from the the Department of Education at the Khabarovsk State University for the Humanities, Lena Ognev and Marina Sheremeteva, Gifted Education teachers at Gymnasium No 1 (High School) and Olga Griyaeva, a Mathematics teacher also at Gymnasium No 1.
